Hello all my hd crashed and right I am stuck with an external hd with the ubuntu iso file and a live cd of pclinux which is very faulty and cant install I tried going in the live cd console and copying the iso content in a USB drive and installing grub but that leads to a crash
My grub points to Casper/vmlinuz /initrd.gz with root=/dev/sda1
When I try to lad it without the root= option it loads but droped me in a shell, I tried to mount the filesystem file and run starts but that says I am missing lib files
Any ideas ?
Thanks.
Forgot to mention that I am working on a new laptop and the live cd is old none of my hardware is detected. Therefore no Internet connection.
Also someway it dosent have a DVD burner for me to burn the iso

Kinda stuck with this and need help asap
