Hi,
I am running ubuntu 10.04 on my netbook. I was having sound card problems and followed a guide on this forum (here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OpenSound)) to switch from ALSA to OSS.
I later found that the sound card problems were a hardware fault that I have now rectified, and as I preferred the settings on ALSA and believe that is the more up to date and better system (?), I would like to go back to ALSA.
So the question is, can I go back to ALSA and remove unnecessary OSS files?
I am more or less newbie but can handle stuff ok if instructions are clear :)
