This has been happening 80% of the time for months:
When I first log on after booting when my desktop comes up I see and endless stream "Starting File Browser" window buttons opening up, and the only way I know to stop and reverse this is to open the System Monitor, select Nautilus, and end process. When I do this the buttons start disappearing and eventually everything works as normally.
This just started happening in addition to above and seems to be 100% of the time:
When the desktop first loads a file browser window is open, and if I try to close it, it immediately opens again. It also seems to be taking a little longer for my desktop to come up.
Nautilus Version: 2.30.1
Gnome Version: 2.30.2
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx
