I have gotten really confused lately maybe I'm getting old or something I thought I would check with you guys just to make sure.

# 1. Firefox 4 am I living in the future?

after seeing this checked the beta download page which showed 4.0b 6 and usually programmers count forwards not backwards.

# 2. When is Maverick being released 17 days seems the majority consensus but I could be wrong any bets.

Maybe it is like quantum mechanics the closer you are to something the harder it is to know when it is going to happen no?

1. See the "pre" in "4.0b7pre". I guess you are using the nightly build (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/).

2. Don't know.

Way too many variables to predict. Install them all and let them update themselves. It'll happen when it happens.

The image is cached. Ctrl+f5 should fix it

I am using the nightly builds just to find out if the new fox had lost a bit of fat and managed to catch up with opera and chromium. One question though is there a ppa that would give you the specific beta that mozilla want feedback from as it's kind of the whole point of beta's if I cant give feedback it's pointless no?

It's an issue with the caching stuff on ubuntu.com's end. Firefox is doing its job just fine. (In short, it asks the server if the image changed since the last time you viewed it and the server erroneously responds that it hasn't).
A bug report is filed; just sit tight and hopefully it'll be fixed by the 10th…

I only noticed it because I check omgubuntu and webupd8 blogs and one said 20 days the other said 17 days. I'm not that concerned because I probably wont be upgrading strait away but it does look kind of unprofessional.
