I was wondering if there are any good tools out there to create a basic Ubuntu install image that can be applied to multiple machines. So for example it already has the defined applications installed but just need the basic sudo username created, password, machine name, time zone..etc.
I know I have seen ghost images setup like this for windows, but am looking for an option to do this with an open source tool like clonezilla or something similar and using Ubuntu as the install OS.
It could come in handy for deploying large amounts of Ubuntu desktop or servers no matter the location or user. Any one have any suggestions of what to look into for some cool tools to help. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
