greetings,
I'm using ubuntu 10.04 64-bit update to date, with compiz enabled. I have an Acer Aspire 5520 with nvidia proprietary drivers (also updated to this day).
The problem is that when I press the left control key (only with compiz, not metacity) periodically every 1 second, the screen freezes for about 250 milli seconds, then returns to normal until the next second where the freezing is repeated.
This behavior is not deterministic, because when I start ubuntu, I have the problem sometimes and sometimes not. The only way to rid this defect is to reboot, and hope that next time will not happen again.
Why?, If I remember correctly, in version 9.10 also had the same problem.
