View Full Version : Has DistroWatch bitten the dust?

I did a search and found nothing, so please pardon me if this has already been posted.

As of this minute, it appears that didtrowatch.com does not exist. Has anyone else heard about this? I heard about it on dslreports.com, tested it myself, and I get a screen saying the site does not exist. No one there knew any details, either. I also searched Google and Google News.

Distro Watch has been a valuable resource for many years.

Ironic, seems that distrowatch is hosted on a Windows server which is currently down http://distrowatch.com/dwres.php?resource=major

Back now, I am still sure it is rocky as the icon for it in Firefox is still the odd red and blue one.

Well, I still cannot get to it. Maybe if I flush my browser cache?

That sort of worked. I get to distrowatch, now, but it still doesn't look right.

Might just be a quick and dirty fix, to get the site up and running again, maybe with older [just-to-be-sure] hdd's or so.
