hi,everyone.
I use gimp to convert image to ppm format , and it is not working.but the bug is fixed at 2.6.9 version.
I want to upgrade the gimp from 2.6.8 to 2.6.10. but the package can't be found in the repository.
the official site:
http://www.gimp.org/downloads/
only said:
Ubuntu or Debian users can simply run apt-get install gimp to get the latest stable release of GIMP.

so, how can I do to upgrade the gimp?

If it's already installed, apt-get upgrade and apt-get update might help. If it's not in the repo's, though...
Dunno if you can add the official site to /etc/apt/sources.list.

Before you start a new thread, I request you to search the forum to see if it's already discussed.

I prefer this PPA to install GIMP https://launchpad.net/~matthaeus123/+archive/mrw-gimp-svn

or even you can try this PPA if you are using Lucid/Maverick https://launchpad.net/~ferramroberto/+archive/gimp

Hope you know how to install a PPA..
