I am in a basic visual basic class, but the teacher is a bit sub par so to say. I am curious if anyone has a good guide on visual basic that they know of. Also is there any way to code and compile visual basic in ubuntu? I have tried mono-develop but it seems a tad bit confusing for me. I greatly appreciate any and all help. Also, I do have windows but I prefer not to use it due to the lagginess of it.

As far as I know monodevelop is as good as you'll get for Visual Basic.NET (I presume you're using Visual Basic.NET rather than Visual Basic 6 or similar).

I can't help you with a guide/tutorial, sorry.

I actually use VB6 :( Thank you for the help though. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Oh... well, the best I can suggest is to use wine to run Visual Basic in Ubuntu.
