...I am no lom=nger a slave to MicroS**T...

I just dual booted Ubuntu 10.4 on my eMachines W3410 (AMD-Athlon-64-3200, 1MB of RAM(128MB dedicated to ATI video card), 100GB hard drive, DVD R/RW, Windows-XP-SP3 ) all my hardware was recognized and is working...I am amazed...

I like what I see so far and ask myself why I waited so long to try Linux.....

Before you ask ... I see using Google that your eMachines has a Radeon Xpress 200 video card/chip. That means that there are NO ATI/AMD drivers that you can download and install that will work with current Ubuntu versions. You already have the only working driver installed -- the open-source driver.

Just telling you this in case you're planning on looking around for ATI drivers.
