Hello,
I have a stupid problem. Don't ask me how or why but i lost the User datbase in the mysql programme. No i can't do anything because there is no user with the privileges to do anything.
First i tried the mysql_install_db command which is supposed to rebuild the databases. This did not work. Then I decided to reinstall mysql to get the user database back.
I uninstalled it by --purge and check the packages with dpkg -l mysql*
I reinstalled mysql and started phpmyadmin trough the browser and i still do not have a user database .. how is this possible ? Is there a local file which stores this information for ever ?? Mysql is useless now!
I can't sort this out! So i hope someone knows an answer!
