Good morning,
I have a Compaq 2100 dual booting Ubuntu 10.04 & Mint 9. Last night I installed the latest updates now I can't shut off either. They both do the same thing, try to shut down, they HDD stops & the splash screen with the dots come up and they hang right there. I tried shutting down using the command line and have the same problem, it will not power off. Mint 9 was installed & worked fine, I installed Ubuntu next to it and they both worked fine for a few days; up until installing the lat updates for both. Any ideas or is there a way to remove the last updates?
