Hello,

I understand there are a bunch of different threads devoted to this topic, and I was following this one for starters.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=103071&highlight=gtkpod+won%27t+load+ipod

It asked me to use
dmsegto figure out what my ipod was loading at. I noticed a different error before it terminated:

[ 915.785259] scsi 3:0:0:0: Direct-Access Apple iPod 1.62 PQ: 0 ANSI: 0
[ 915.791290] sd 3:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg2 type 0
[ 1066.416786] sd 3:0:0:0: [sdb] Spinning up disk.....not responding...

And the output shortly stopped after the spinning up disk. I'm assuming this means it can't read my ipod classic, 4th generation (it used to no problem).

Any ideas how to fix this? Or this is an ipod error?

Thanks!

No takers on this? The ipod itself works fine - but it won't show up as mounted...
