Does any smart phone sync to Evolution?

I was using a Palm Treo with Palm OS. It synced with Evolution, and overall was good with Linux. It quit working correctly, and so I switched to Blackberry. I have been extremely disappointed in the lack of ability to sync with evolution. I have searched high and low, and have been in contact with devs, to find out it does, work, but has issues. So my question is: Does any smart phone sync with evolution???

Please don't reply if you are just going to point to a guide that haven't tried. :) I want to know that you have done this, and it works. Or sync's with anything on Ubuntu not cloud stuff with a data plan. Smartphone -> Ubuntu no middle man. I can't believe it is this difficult!

I used to have a Windows Mobile device syncing with Evolution. It was a pain to set up, and it was very sporadic.

That is kind of funny, I mean if you think about it. I have always avoided Windows Mobile, just thinking in general, windows -> linux, bad combo. :) Thanks for the input.
