I'm running Ubuntu 8.04. Some of my programs that are installed do not show up on the drop down menus. When I check in "Add/Remove", the programs are installed. I've tried removing them and re-installing without any change.
I can run my "Edit Menus" either from the top bar (right click) or from the Edit Menu program in it's normal location (The "Edit Menu" happens to be one of the programs that is not showing in the System drop down list. But when I run "Edit Menu" it shows all of the programs that are installed and all are checked. NO programs are listed that are not on the drop down menus.
It is as if the other programs are not installed but in "Add/Remove" and "Synaptic Package Manager" they show as installed.
