Hey guys,

Yesterday I installed Ubuntu 10.0.04 64bit on my pc.
After installing it I installed the drivers for my ATI 4870 videocard.

Here you can see the ATI display Manager:

Ok so I selected Multi-display desktop. So I can have a extended desktop just as I had on Windows 7.
I selected the correct Refresh rates and Resolution for both screens.
Screen 1 is 1680x1050 60hz and Screen 2 is 1024x768 85Hz.

Now my problem is everytime I open a movieplayer or some other apps. The refresh rate of the second monitor goes back to 60hz. This problem is quite annoying. I have to change the refresh rate every time.

Here is a picture of the monitor window.

When I go to change it back to 85Hz. I have to do it twice or 3 times before it changes.

I get a error “The selected configuration for displays could not be applied could not set the configuration for CRTC 136/135.

I also don't see more then 60Hz refreshrate for the second display. After a couple of tries I get the 85Hz option back...

Anybody out here that can help me with this problem?
