8.04 LTS DVD unresponsive when installing Wine from repository

Hi, I found Wine in the repository when I looked in synaptic package manager. I marked wine and winedev for installation and clicked apply. I was then asked to insert the 8.04 Hardy Heron LTS DVD in my cdrom1 drive and then click ok. I inserted the cd but nothing happened when I clicked ok.

Any help is appreciated.

I also tried to download the Wine tarball package and install from tar. I downloaded the wine 1.3.2 tarbz2 to my desktop then opened terminal and typed: tar xzvf wine-1.3.2.tar.bz2 and got "no such directory" cannot open.
