What is the best graphics card for running compiz and win 7, geforce 5700le agp, geforce fx5200-dv128, geforce 5600ep agp or geforce mx4000-dv128 agp?

That is a thought one. At any rate, unless money is a problem (which almost always is), I would go with a massive computer upgrade.

As for the limited choice here, I would say 5700le, however, I don't any of them will actually do good job with compiz. I suspect many effects will either not work, or they will slow the machine significantly.

I dont know of a 5600EP, but if its a 'normal' 5600 then it can be faster than the 5700LE.

The 5700LE was a seriously 'cut down' version, with a slower core and memory the the standad FX 5600. The core and memory on a 5700LE is the same speeds as the FX 5200 (naughty nVidia!), but its got more shaders than the 5200, so its marginally better.

Those 2 are the best of those cards, I'd avoid the FX5200 and the MX4000 if you have a choice. The 4000 will not even run Win7, its a DX7 card, and you need DX9 for Win7.

BTW, all of them are going to be slow with areoglass on win7.
