I recently built a desktop with an 80GB SSD and 1TB HDD. Ubuntu is unable to see or install to the SSD so I have it on the HDD. The SSD is installed correctly and recognized by the motherboard. Is this an issue with ubuntu? It seems other people are not having this issue.

Thanks

I'd like to see answer to this as well.
Prices for SSD drives are dropping and I would like to see if Ubuntu can detect it...

I don't think this is a SSD specific problem your are having. I am pretty sure there are enough people installing Ubuntu on SSD already.

For instance, I have an Asus eeePC with SSD onboard and has no problem installing/running Ubuntu.
