Names in Workspace Switcher buttons in Laptops

Hi, I am a brand user. I have both a desktop and a laptop computers

When i get a workspace switcher preferences window from my desktop I can put names in the switcher buttons.

This same window from my laptop will only let me add or delete buttons

How can I get names in my switcher buttons on my laptop computer?

Run [Alt+F2] gconf-editor, open apps/panel/applets/applet_0/prefs and check the box beside "display_workspace_names"
