Hi! What would be more preferable to install on my machine? I've read somewhere that if my CPU supports 64-bit, I should prefer that over 32-bit. What are the distinct advantages if I do?

go 64bit it runs better but uses more memory than 32bit would, well worth the extra memory though.

i'm running 64bit on the old atom 230.

I'm running 32 bit on the d510 board - it runs very well but I haven't tried the 64 bit so can't give you a direct comparison.

I've never noticed any great improvements in 64-bit over the 32-bit version. 64-bit uses the memory more efficiently but the issues with flash have always kept me away from it.

I have to agree with sikander3786, flash has always presented me with a problem while running x64. Flash is so nice when it runs smooth but when it doesn't you learn to hate the internet

I run 64 bit on an an athlon Neo asus 1201T Netbook. There is a 64 bit flash directly from adobe now.

I don't see issues with flash unless I go fullscreen, but that seems to do more with my integrated graphics than the architecture and OS that goes with it. Fullscreen flash stutters on 32 bit EEEbuntu 4 (Debian Sid based).

they stopped.

But there's still no issue with flash on 64-bit 10.04; apt-get install the flash autoinstaller and it just works.
