LFNW is a showcase for what Northwest Linux users are doing with Linux and open source software. It's a place for Linux enthusiasts to get together to share their passion for what good software can do. LFNW is brought to life by Linux users throughout the northwest, including the Bellingham, Tacoma, Seattle, Kitsap Peninsula, Victoria, Vancouver BC Linux Users Groups, and hosted by the Bellingham Technical College.

It's scheduled this year for April 30, 2005

I was wondering if Ubuntu would like/want/have a presence? Maybe not an official one, but some kind of presence?

i think i might be able to go. if i can i will email benjamin mako hill for some ubuntu cds to hand out, or some other goodies they might be able to swing my way. i am also planning on attending oscon 2005 (http://conferences.oreillynet.com/os2005/) as well(as i live in oregon). not sure if they will have an official presence at oscon 2005, but i will be there and can hand out cds and other stuff there too.

are you ordering CDs for LFNW and are you definitely going? If not I'll order some myself but if so please follow up on this posting.

i emailed ben mako hill. however, someone from the event contacted ubuntu and they are already going to send linux fest nw cds. so i wont be handing any out, because i dont have any. however, kassetra and i are attending(we live somewhat close to each other).

i am going to run around with my video camera and digital camera and document stuff. i will post a ogg video of the whole thing, in a mocu/documentary sort of way. i will also attend some meetings, but mostly i want to get to know my "gnu/linux people." i really like to hang out and talk.

so if anyone is planning on going, PM me and we can hang out or whatever.

i "think" i will be wearing a shirt that says "all my base R belong to ubuntu" so you can tell me from the "other" people.
