Hip hop or Rock: Which side are you?

You may talk of music, fashion, sports, etc...
Represent! :D
I do not advice criticizing the other side, (but you may)!
What's hot and what's not?

(This is just for fun, but maybe this may help specially to the producers, artists, aspiring models. haha)

Yes, because EVERYBODY likes either hip-hop or rock. Please add an option for "I'm not into either".

I'm a rocker myself, but there are many more genres then those two. You should include more in your poll.

Besides a few underground and old school acts, rap is pretty lame now.

I feel it is as decadent as the old hair rock of the late 80s where the idea is to repeat a series of fantasy scenerios which appeal to adolescent males.

Even though I wright and produce what most people would lable "Rock," I find myself listening to much, much more. My favorite genre to zone out on at the moment is psytrance. Last week it was instrumental folk.

There's a lot of different stuff I like and listen to but, I can honestly say that Rap and Hop-Hop is not among my regularly scheduled programing...unless The Bloodhound Gang is involved.

If i can't hum it or sing along without snapping a vocal cord I don't consider it music. With that being said= neither :-( . I like the singer song writers of the 70's and 60's. Folk and Americana genre also as well as Jazz. I grew up on ZZtop, CCR, Allman Brothers, BTO, and Doobie Brothers. That isn't really close to what rock sounds like right now.

So basically, you'll never hear any new music for the rest of your life. That sounds inconceivable.

Actually I don't listen to the new Rock at all and can't name any of the current stars but I buy new music all the time. Recently purchased Sierra Hulls debut album, Nikki Yanofsky, Chris Botti, anything Nora Jones or Michael Buble'. Another favorite is Jessy Cook. Are you seeing the trend ? :) This is what's in my current music folder>

Ah okay, so you were strictly speaking to rock. My bad, but now I feel better, thanks. I was sad.
