Not downing Apple, I use OSX more than Ubuntu, but I refuse to get an iPhone because of the lockdown they enforce. I have an HTC Evo and while installing Ubuntu on my MacBook I looked up random apps in the market.
There is a free app called Premote. It turns your Android phone into a file manager, keyboard, and touch pad for any OS via WiFi or Bluetooth. You can find it in the market, and it gives you the link to download the server (Java server, less than 700kb).
Thought I'd share, I think it's neat as hell :P
