Add new mwnu on panel

Hi. Sorry for my bad english.
I use ubuntu 10.04 and i don't know how to add a new mwnu on panel (ex: standard menu1 - standard menu2 - standardmenu3 - My-new-menu).
Can you help me step by step ?

to make your menu

right click the panel-> add to panel-> application launcher
drag the whole menu to the panel

Ok. The new mwnu with sub menu test1-test2 have a icon and not a name "My menu"

i meant you can make a icon/pic with the name.

example:
i'll use mtpaint & the screen shooter (see screenshots)

kolourpaint is the best if you want to do transparency.
(if you install kolourpaint4, turn off recommends, you'll save 100mb)

Well. I have undestend that i must install kolourpaint4 and make a image with name (for me) "Frequenti". But, please tell me, how i change then icon in new menu with image that i have maked ?

when you created your menu theres a icon pic on the left, just click on it.

In new menu there is a down arrow, do you know if it's possible eliminate this (see immage).

i'm sure if you can find the icon you can edit it to be transparent. i've never done it though,don't know where the icon would be.
