updates

hi ,i have loaded 8.04 ubuntu cant get any other cd to load other than 710
cant ask for another cd have been sent 2.have been able to update to 8.04.
The question is when i try to update it will only let me update through the update manager to 10.04, which fails to finish the update,is it possible to update to 9 . as recomended

corsair 650 watt power supply

sansung dvd r
asus cd r/w

The systerm is a temp so i can get used to ubuntu and hope to make the change from windows

Try opening Update Manager and check Settings > Updates, set it to Normal Releases, and you should be able to see 9.04.

If you want to get to 9.10 you'd need to install 9.04 first.

You can also download each version, you don't need to ask for them.
