Ok I had a very interesting thing happen during the installation. My laptop would just shutoff right after I hit the installation button. I tried it a few times and still the same thing. But to get my laptop to even power back on I had to pull the battery and the power cord to my laptop before it would power up again. So I got tired of pulling my battery out and turned it on without it in. Installation happens successfully without incident and Ubuntu runs great. Now after the installation I thought that the power management would not be acting up so I put the battery back in. Same thing happens. Now I dual boot with Win 7 and I never have this happen so does anyone have an idea of how to fix this?? I've googled and googled and haven't found JACK on this problem. I am rather new to Ubuntu.....been running it on my netbook but I've been slowly installing it on my other computers. My server is next but I need to sort this problem out before I go any further.
