Thats like going and buying a pair of nike air max with plasic air bubbles, if you get my drift. It does look awesome all the same but I would rather try and make my Ubuntu mine without the need for a mac look-a-like. But thats just my opinion.

Is something like this legal? It seems as if there may be some copyright issues? Images, etc?

Otherwise, i really like it!

You mean apple doesn't get mad if you use their background image? or is is just similar, slightly different? And the top menu? Is that just slightly different, therefore not copyright infringement?

Sort of the best of both worlds if you ask me. lol the great looks of a mac, but the stability and functionality of ubuntu! :)

How do I reset this to normal if I decide I don't want it?

Every time I run

tar xzvf /home/Macbuntu-10.04.tar.gz -C /home cd /home/Macbuntu-10.04/ $ ./install.sh

I get the following error:

tar: /home/Macbuntu-10.04.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: cd: Not found in archive
tar: /home/Macbuntu-10.04: Not found in archive
tar: $: Not found in archive
tar: ./install.sh: Not found in archive
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors

Dan,

Just open folder with archive manager, extract contents somewhere and double-click "install.sh." Then click "Run in Terminal" press "y" for yes and it should install.

I gave this a try partly to try out the top context-sensitive menu.

Unfortunately it all worked except for the menu! When I boot into it I get this error -

The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:GlobalMenu_PanelApplet".
And there is no menu. Just the apple logo to the left and the systray to the left. Any idea how to fix that? What package is the context menu anyway i've never seen it before and i've been using gnome for a long time!

EDIT scratch that last line I found the package - an XFCE package.
Scratch the whole thing, I've sorted it! Just needed to install the package myself, for some reason the script didn't do it.

Just tried installing it but there seems to a problem with setting the theme. It's saying that it may not look right as the window manager macbuntu isn't installed.
