Hey folks,
Brand new to both Linux and Ubuntu. I currently connect to the internet through an automatic proxy script provided by my university. This works fine for getting Firefox and Thunderbird, etc to work, (because they offer this option) but the college restricts quite a few ports. (I had to change Gaim to a mail port to get out) Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can get Synaptic to access online repositories with this setup? Right now it fails every time. :-(
Thanks!
