How do you know (1) the entry was actually there, and (2) that it has become "lost"?

Asking because if you're running WinXP, then it's safe to presume there WAS an entry in boot.ini; but if you're running Vista or Win7, there is NO boot.ini -- thus, no entry ever existed.

and it's gone , not there anymore
currently i have the body of ubuntu there and the files called wubildr.mbr

but i want to link them both together with this entry

if you have it please tell me
