Many times I have general questions or a discussion point that’s not specifically based on Ubuntu (for example scripting, system programming, documentation, etc) or maybe even an entirely different flavor of Linux. I was brought into the Linux world with Ubuntu and this is about the only community site I’ve been active on. I was wanting to expand, but haven't the slightest idea what a good general linux forum site would be.
Another thing, are mail groups still popular in the Linux world? I never really got into this back when I was a full time Windows user. I know it was immensely popular in the Linux communities. Not sure if that has weakened.
