Tiny install

I have a netbook which has very limited space. Windows xp on it is really slow. I was wondering if anyone could guide me in getting a very tiny install. All i need to is:

Manage wireless (will only need connect to one access point)
Web browser
xdotools
xmacro

I think ubuntu netbook remix will be just fine for a netbook. My eee pc netbook has only one 8 Gb hard drive left (the other 60Gb one is dead now).

And NBR takes about 3-4 Gb on the hard drive.

the thing is the netbook only has 4gig hard drive and 512mb ram. so i want it as light as possible
