Hello,
There have been a few issues with transparency of some icons in the notification area. See: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1427968
I'm also having a similar issue with the Network Monitor applet when using dark themes.

Anyone else see this? Fix or workaround? I looked around but couldn't find anything...
Note: Network Monitor is not installed by default, you have to install gnome-netstatus-applet then add it to the panel.
Any help is appreciated.
