Why don't you create *.img files for just dd'ing it to usb stick? I'm tired of all this intercouse with mounting iso, and installing grub, which dont unerstand lzma'ed cpio archive as initrd...
usb-creator? there is no any for gentoo nor debian

maybe users like to edit their usb version (adding certain software, or different drivers) creating standard *.img files doesn't make that any easier

Ok, lets delete all iso's, and let users making own versions
