I see 10.04.1 is another iteration of the 2.6.32 kernel; I've been using the 2.6.34 mainline kernel to get proper support for my graphics card (Radeon Mobility X1600); I searched for "radeon" in the release notes, but didn't really see anything that sounded like my problem (jittery external monitor); in general, will a fix in a mainline kernel like 2.6.34 make it into 10.04 LTS releases???

Or do I just wait another month for Maverick?

Thanks,

RESh

Welcome to the forum.

You do not have to wait. 10.10 (beta) is here:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/

You know the warnings regarding a beta release: It changes without notice and so on.

If you encounter problems, this forum is the best:
http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=385

Best is first to read everything in that forum about Radeon cards. Don't take for granted that all problems regarding Radeon are solved...
