View Full Version : [ubuntu] Uninstalled KDE... Spade cursor remains in GNOME?

Hi there ):P

Like a prize-plum I installed KDE to play about a bit without really thinking about removing it... Instantly didn't get on with it. I've labouriously uninstalled most of it all now. However, I'm left with an ugly spade like cursor. gcursor won't change it and nor will System>Preferences>Appearance>Customise>cursor.

Can anyone suggest to me how I can get my cursor back to the default small white one?

Many thanks
Sam

It seems I must've been a bit tired and in a rush when I tried to sort this last night.

For anyone that finds this topic through Google etc. It is caused by having Compiz enabled.

The solution can be found here: http://www.ubunturoot.com/2010/05/how-to-change-mouse-cursor-in-ubuntu.html
