View Full Version : [ubuntu] can not mount?

10,04 from cd rom trying to install on older hp p3 800mhz box and it gives me this screen after booting and starting install. got same message from a dell 500mhz box

new to ubuntu but loaded my laptop (64 bit ) and it was great and I love this system it flys (Old vista laptop)

trying to speed up some older boxes from xp, slow but they run well

getting this error message

Same error, happened to me on two very different computers: an old laptop runnning XP, and my personal laptop which dual boots Vista/Kubuntu/Ubuntu... I really want to wipe my drive and do a clean reinstall, but apparently I can't?? There are a few related posts but from ash I can't execute any of the diagnostic commands:
