hi guys,

i've really grown attached to the default theme in ubuntu last time i used it, but on lucid, only the 'light' themes are available. i can understand this, and i like them, but i wish they'd left the previous ones in (like older releases).

i've searched quite a lot on the internet, but couldn't find the default 'human' theme from karmic. would someone who's still running 9.10 be so kind as to upload it for me? (if you don't know how, just tar the /usr/share/themes/Human and /usr/share/icons/Human(ity? i'm not sure, sorry) folders.)

thanks a lot,
bamdad

You can get the Human icon theme and the 9.10 wallpaper from repository. ubuntu-wallpapers-extra. The Human theme is also in the repository .

wow. sometimes i forget to check the obvious places. a quick

# apt-cache search human | grep -i theme helped, it's called legacyhuman-theme.
EDIT: it's called human-theme. the legacy one is the one from.. warty i guess. the *really* old one. it's nice to see that it's still available, though.

thanks for your time. :)

Type Metacity into the software center search box and scroll down past the legacy theme and you find the Human theme.
