I like the "Monospace" font for terminal sessions and would like to use it on a Windows machine for PuTTY sessions. To do that I need to locate the specific font files and copy them to my other machine. I know that most font files reside in /usr/share/fonts and that there is some configuration information in /etc/fonts/conf.avail, but I just cannot figure out which font files correspond to "Monospace." Can anyone tell me this, or give me a basic strategy for mapping any given font name to the corresponding font file names?
