I just installed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on an eMachines T3092 desktop. This particular model includes NVidia GForce4 integrated graphics. I have a Dell flatscreen monitor connected via the analog connection. The best resolution I can set is 1024x768. My image is larger than the monitor so I can't see the bottom task bar (except perhaps the top 1/4th). Also, the mouse tracking is off by bit so that I have to click above where I actually need to click.

If I install the restricted nvidia drivers the maximum resolution goes to 800x600, but at least I can see the whole image :).

Sound works fine, internet works fine -- it's just the graphics part I haven't figured out.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Any help on this issue? I am installing Ubuntu for a friend and the same thing is happening and I can not seem to find a fix for it :(
