Ubuntu 10.04 craches

Hi,
I have installed ubuntu 10.04 with kernal 2.6.31.21-generic. I am building BlueZ to insert it into kernal. But i found on next startup ubuntu crashes, it displays plan screen. when i pressed ESC button, it displays " Checking Battery Status [OK]". please suggest if any solution to this.

Are you able to get past this point at all or it just stops there?

What graphics card do you have installed?

Did you get errors installing BlueZ?

We need more information please.
