Ubuntu Community:

I know there are many threads on this, but I made my own because I am just one step away.

I typed this in:

sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts
That line was after the 1st two that I was told to type it and worked. But after writing that in, I got this:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package sun-java6-jre is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package sun-java6-jre has no installation candidate

Does anyone know what this other package is? I've been looking all over the forums.

Have you enabled the partner repository? System, Administration, Software Sources.

Use frostwire, it's free (speech & beer) software and is equivalent to Limewire's paid "Pro" version.
