Hi Guys,

Back from vacations! During my holidays in Italy, in camping, dudes extremely good in computer shown me that they installed Ubuntu on a tomtom.

I have no idea how they did that, and they used it like a sort of big I-pod to watch movies.

I came to mind, what about UPOD for a name for such installation?

Btw is this allowed, on the other hand, installing too linux on regular apple pc. I saw that debian can be installed on regular apple PC and install cdroms are too official.

- well to come back to the UPOD, those guys really made something nice out of it. They said they can boot either tomtom or switch to this home made linux.

There was on the top of the screen some little kind of tabs, so switch between applications. One guy shown he had too a sort of very poweful agenda that could wake him up in the morning in the tent.

That's really impressive, what some talented guys can do.

I looked a bit on the net and indeed there is a real harddisk of that tomtom
