Hi,
I'm but I'm having problems installing Linux. Both Ubuntu 10.0.4 and Mint freeze after going through the initial install options, setting partitions and starting the install at around 5%
It just jumps to back screeen, with Ubuntu logo and 5 red dots..
I've tried d/l different versions and burning new DVDs.
Anyone have any ideas?
My Spec is:
AMD PHENOM II X4 955 (3.20GHz/8MB CACHE/AM3) - BLACK EDITION
ASUS® M3N WS: DUAL DDR2, S-ATA II, 2 x PCI-Ex, 2 x PCI
8GB CORSAIR XMS2 DUAL-DDR2 800MHz - LIFETIME WARRANTY
300GB WD VELOCIRAPTOR® SATA 3-Gb/s, 16MB CACHE (10,000rpm)
500GB SERIAL ATA 3-Gb/s HARD DRIVE WITH 8MB CACHE (7,200rpm
Note: PC came with Windows 7 Home (and that worked fine) so I don't think its a HD problem
Thanks.
