auto downloading

When I boot Ubuntu before I start any browser, some program is downloading. When I open the System Monitor something is downloading as soon as the system starts. This did not happen on either of the laptops that I installed Ubuntu on. The only process that is not sleeping is gnome-system-monitor. Is this normal? How do I find the program? What is being downloaded?

Just a guess, Update Manager checking for updates?

I know that shortly after booting, I get a prompt for updates if available, if I haven't manually checked in a while.

Maybe Ubuntu One syncing??? don't know.

I just installed 10.04 a few days ago. The update manager installed quite a few updates. I just went and did a manual update and then closed everything except the System Monitor, there is still something downloading on average 1KB/sec.
I have not touched Ubuntu One. Any ideas???
