Hi,

I'm trying to install Ubuntu, and so far I'm regretting it even messing with it. I booted from an Ubuntu CD, it goes through the installation process and gets to the screen where it says my computer has multiple operation systems on it already. On this screen, every picture i've seen on the internet shows there should be an option to Install Ubuntu side by side with Windows, but it only has the option to Erase and use entire disk or specify partitions manually.

Am wondering if anyone knows what the problem is here.

Thanks.

Not sure which windows your running but can you post a screen shot of a MS disk manager or a gparted screenshot from the live Ubuntu cd.

I was able to fix the issue by uninstalling, and doing an install inside windows through the initial setup menu rather than a full installation.
