I have an Asus 1005HA with dual boot XP and UNR Ubuntu 10.04.
UNR worked very well up to today . (Never really used XP).
But after latest Update Manager I have a problem booting. It starts but instead of the usual 'Ubuntu' logo with the 5 dots it starts with a 'Ubuntu 10.04' logo, continues to login , asks for the password and freezes. There is no way to enter password.
I have tried starting in recovery and it recovers up to some point but then stops - cursor keeps blinking but nothing happens.
Hope that I don't have to reinstall.
Thanks for any help
