I got that Technology since years on my Mercedez Benz.

I always thought the idea of airless tires was a no brainer, so I'm not sure why they haven't taken off or made it to the main stream. Probably like most things it's due to the market built around selling tires as they are now. I mean heck, my 9 year old truck is on its third set of tires, and seems like I have to get one patched at least once every 12-18 months.

I suspect those bendy wheel frames are more complex than they seem...

Used to have some airless bike tyres and they sucked for all year usage. Wonder if new ones feel any better.

Airless tires were available on the first cars.

The wheel rims weren't bendy, though. Just solid rubber around a steel rim.

Uhh...yes I know how it was done. Not like there's a working model one can find in their local car dealership though.
