I'm looking for a native twitter client to run on Kubuntu 10.04 but i can't find a decent solution.

Choqok seemed a good solution but it's dead.
Qwit has to binaries for Ubuntu.
I see no Twitter widget to put in the desktop.
All adobe air solutions take up way too much CPU.

So, any suggestions ?
Thanks.

Hi,
I'm not a Twitter user, but I saw in my newsreader today, that today was the day that Twitter ended support for basic authentication, so a lot of twitter clients might still need to be updated in order to work.

Here is a link that shows how to update Choqok to version 1.0 beta 2 through a PPA, which it says will work with the new authentication method:
http://digitizor.com/2010/08/31/install-choqok-1-0-beta-2-from-ppa-kubuntu-10-04-10-10/
Hope that helps.

P.S. There is a plasma widget called "Microblogging" that can be used with Identi.ca and Twitter.
