Hi guys.

Is there a way to make Google calendar (or any other calendar which sync with my iPod or an online calendar) to appear in the background? preferably something like this:
http://www.icalviewer.com/

but a simple list of my agenda will be just as good.

The only thing I found is using conky but I was hoping for something which is more eye candy.

I'm using xfce desktop but wouldn't mind much switching back to gnome.

Thanks.

It's not like the one in the link you posted, but it does the job: http://www.webupd8.org/2010/08/display-google-calendar-on-your-desktop.html

Hi.

Thanks. I tweaked it a little to display my agenda. However, I have some Hebrew entries in my calender and conky doesn't support Hebrew out of the box. I have found this:

but I can't apply this to my case. Not that gcalcli display Hebrew fonts but in reverse order.

Thanks
